Editorial Policy

This policy describes how reporting on this site is sourced, attributed and corrected. It applies to every article published under The Stockroom Record.

Sourcing

Reporting is built from primary documents where they exist: contracts, amendments, court filings, testimony and physical inventory counts described by the parties. Secondary characterizations are labeled as such.

Attribution

Where a fact or figure comes from one party to a dispute rather than from an independent or judicial source, the article states that directly — for example, "SVES says" or "according to court testimony" — rather than presenting a contested account as established fact.

Fairness

Named parties are given the opportunity for their position to be represented in the reporting. A party's denial or dispute of an allegation is reported alongside the allegation itself, not omitted.

Scope

Reporting focuses on companies, contracts, inventory systems and matters of public record. It does not pursue claims about named individual employees where doing so adds no verifiable information to the underlying story.

Corrections

Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are identified and verified. A note describing the nature of a substantive correction is added to the corrected article.
